Il n’y a pas que Rawtherapee comme alternative libre à darktable, depuis peu, un développeur a sorti PhotoFlow qui est régulièrement mis à jour.
Pour ma part je n’ai que testé vite fait mais c’est prometteur.

Those are legitimate questions, that deserve an honest answer. In my opinion, the main differences are the following:
[*]PhotoFlow can process and [b]combine multiple RAW files simultaneously[/b], opening the path to[b]exposure blending[/b], [b]HDR merging[/b] or other visual effects (see this post for an example), directly fro the RAW images and fully integrated with the rest of the image processing
[*]PhotoFlow is [b]layer-based[/b], meaning that the sequential order of the processing filters is defined by the user according to its editing goals and preferences. Other RAW editors like RawTherapee and Darktable have instead an hard-coded sequence of the available tools (although Darktable allows to insert multiple instances of the same tool for local adjustments)
[*]PhotoFlow uses a [b]very limited amount of resources[/b], and runs equally well on 32 and 64 bits systems (this might be less important nowadays...)
[*]Compared to RawTherapee, PhotoFlow provides [b]local adjustments through opacity masks[/b]associated to each layer. Darktable on the other hand has local adjustment capabilities.
[*]Compared to Darktable, PhotoFlow provides [b]additional demosaicing methods[/b] (LMMSE and IGV) that are better suited for noisy images. Those demosaicing methods are derived from RawTherapee and are of course available there.
Oui, ça parait prometteur. J’avais tenté de l’utiliser un peu juste pour tester… Et bien pas simple du tout! Du coup j’ai abandonné au bout de 10 minutes (je sais c’est pas bien). Mais le projet continu son chemin, je referais un essai un jour je pense.
Ce qui est un peu inquiétant c’est que pour le moment tout cela ne tient que sur un seul développeur. A suivre…

Je l’avais installé mais je n’ai pas trop accroché !
De la concurrence ne peut pas faire de mal à darktable, au contraire cela peut être motivant pour les développeurs
